President's Message, January 2026
Kate Tigue, MD, FAAP
Dear colleagues,
Change in medicine is rarely easy—but it is often necessary. As pediatricians, we see firsthand how systems designed with good intentions can unintentionally create barriers for the very families we aim to serve. Today’s healthcare environment challenges us to look closely at our practices and ask an important question:
What can we change to make care more accessible, equitable, and effective for children and their families
