Code of Conduct
The PA AAP is committed to inclusion, equity, and respectful treatment of all staff-- from full -time employees to part-time and contractors--and seeks to provide a safe and professional atmosphere in which personnel may learn, network, and participate in a welcoming environment of mutual respect. All staff as well as any individual who takes part in a PA AAP program or event are expected to abide by this Code of Conduct, which prohibits includes:
- Harassment or intimidation of any kind including those based on race, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, religion, language, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, physical appearance, disability, veteran/military status, marital/partner status, parental status, or other group status.
- Sexual harassment or intimidation, including unwelcome sexual attention, stalking (physical or virtual), or unsolicited physical contact.
- Physical violence, yelling, or other threatening behavior.
- Disruption of presentations during sessions, in the exhibit hall, or at other events.
- Use or possession of illegal drugs and/or severe intoxication.
- Photography, video recording, and/or screenshots without written permission from the PA AAP and appropriate notification to participants.
Employee Rights
In keeping with its policy of maintaining high standards of conduct and ethics, PA AAP will investigate any suspected fraudulent or dishonest use or misuse of the Chapter's resources or property by staff, Board members, volunteers, or independent contractors.
Staff, Board members, volunteers, and independent contractors are encouraged to report suspected fraudulent or dishonest conduct (i.e., to act as a "whistleblower"), according to the following procedures.
