The Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (PA AAP), with the support of the AAP Friends of Children Fund, has begun a project to launch, expand, and sustain health equity inititatives that create meaningful, lasting impacts for children, families, pediatricians, and PA AAP members.
The PA AAP is working to promote education and resources for families and pediatricians regarding early language acquisition and literacy development in households where English is not the primary language. The PA AAP has partnered with Reach Out and Read to achieve some of these goals.
The funds for this project will be used to meet the following goals:
